Kimberly Reed is currently the Chief Innovation Officer at Louisville MSD. Prior to that, they were the Director of Operations at Louisville Water Company from January 2008 to May 2017. In that role, they managed multi-million dollar budgets and was responsible for the annual billings of roughly $150 million in revenue for the Louisville Water Company and $216 million for Metropolitan Sewer District. Kimberly also fostered and maintained a solid partnership with our local union and led operational area to "Best in Class" status. From December 2003 to December 2007, Kimberly was the Operations Manager at Louisville Water Company where they were responsible for maintenance of key utility equipment in service territory, managed emergency response operations which included 24 hours / 7 day a week responsibilities (including holidays), managed employees and equipment at multiple sites, and managed assets through total life cycle from purchase to maintenance to retirement via sale or disposal. Kimberly also partnered with Metro government officials to develop a program to ensure safe functioning equipment for our community.
Kimberly Reed graduated from the University of Louisville with a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering. Kimberly then went on to earn their MBA from the University of Louisville's Masters of Business Administration program.
