I enjoy building teams and complex products. I have the ability to work with people of extremely divergent backgrounds, educations, and technical specialties. I thrive in environments with vague or uncertain requirements. I specialize in discovering what individuals can contribute, meeting their needs, and complementing their strengths. I prefer working in transparent and flat organizations.
As Chief Operating Officer for Parian I’ve project managed and built core database-driven applications for 5 companies. As an individual contributor for those projects I’ve built databases, APIs, data pipelines, web applications, and mobile applications, primarily using Ruby on Rails, Python, PostgreSQL, and JavaScript. I have built software for CEOs, CTOs, psychiatrists, restaurant managers, scientists, PhDs, mobile developers, and food truck drivers.
I have also worked on systems that automate blood chemistry tests, perform physical therapy and neuromuscular rehabilitation, estimate the reliability of aerospace components, and propel autonomous vehicles underwater. I have been coding since 6th grade with expertise in C/C++, Python, and Ruby on Rails.
