With years of experience in the finance and sustainable chemicals industries, Sebastian brings valuable expertise to water startup investments community. Early in his career, he served as a corporate finance consultant and executive for professional services provider Ernst & Young. He then spent 15 years at Siegwerk, a multinational producer of sustainable ink and coating for product labels and packages, rising to vice president of various business units.
Since 2021, Sebastian has led the cleaning products unit at BÜFA Group, an independent, medium-sized German company in the chemical industry. BÜFA Cleaning practices sustainability by using biodegradable ingredients, limiting the use of new raw materials, removing all microplastics from its products and relying on solar energy to power its facilities. In line with his company's sustainability-centric vision, Sebastian is seeking water startups that focus on reducing fresh water consumption and promoting water recycling.
